Celebrating Milestones

In 2016, the Kanaima Children’s Choir captivated an audience of over 23,000 people at the Estadio Universitario de Caracas. Their powerful and heartfelt performance of “Lord Transform Me,” composed and directed by Raquel Acevedo and Daniel Gonzalez, was a highlight of the event. This monumental gathering marked a significant milestone in the choir’s journey, showcasing their exceptional talent and the transformative power of music.

 

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished leaders from various regions, including Israel Leito, president of the Inter-American Division, and Ted Wilson, president of the General Conference. Their attendance underscored the importance of the occasion and the choir’s role in enriching the cultural and musical landscape.

 

The Kanaima Children’s Choir’s performance continues to be remembered, and “Lord Transform Me” is still sung in communities across Venezuela today.
